Elisabeth Stimpert

Elisabeth Stimpert found her tribe when she started playing in Musica Nova and Ossia at Eastman with the people who would become the founders of Alarm Will Sound. Between AWS performances, she teaches clarinet, chamber music, and aural skills at the University of Central Missouri, where she also co-directs the annual electroacoustic/experimental music festival MOXSonic. She holds degrees in performance, music theory, and music education from the Eastman School of Music, The Ohio State University, and Shenandoah University.
