Alarm Will Sound will develop "Paper Pianos," a piece that highlights four human voices: the Afghan pianist Milad Yousufi, Getachew Bashir (Ethiopia), Hani Ali (Somalia), and Akil Aljaysh (Iraq); creating a space for the audience to experience empathy. Milad Yousufi fled to New York from Kabul, where he lived under the Taliban’s threat for pursuing music.
Alarm Will Sound returns to the University of Missouri with a concert of electronica and electronica-inspired works, including music by Aphex Twin, King Britt, Jlin, and more.
Alarm Will Sound visits the University of Maryland to collaborate with student composers and workshop "Love Always," a new piece by Allison Loggins-Hull and Toshi Reagon.
