The 2021 Mizzou International Composers Festival's opening concert, "World Premieres I" features Alarm Will Sound, the resident ensemble, performing new works by three of the festival’s resident composers, plus a first look at an excerpt from distinguished guest composer David T. Little’s opera "What Belongs to You," based on the novel by Garth Greenwell, featuring singer Karim Sulayman.
For the 2021 Mizzou International Composers Festival's final event, Alarm WIll Sound, ensemble-in-residence, will perform new works from six resident composers, plus the American premiere of Stefan Freund’s arrangement of “Sparkle” by distinguished guest composer Chen Yi.

Alarm Will Sound returns to Artpark with engaging, otherworldly sounds. This performance includes Eartheater's When Fire is Allowed to Finish, Black Origami by electronic artist Jlin (arr. Kim and Thompson), Atomic Theory III: "Electron Orbits" by King Britt and Marcos Balter, and T69 Collapse by Aphex Twin (arr. Stefan Freund).
